Since the appearance of a professional ice hockey club in the city by the sea, a hockey and figure skating school has also been opened. Now about 400 children train there under the guidance of experienced trainers.   Hockey school continues the recruitment, children from 6 years old are accepted. The figure skating school continues to recruit skaters. Admitted to the section from 4 years old. There are several levels of training in the school. Amateur hockey is an initiative community of hockey fans. They regularly train at the Ice Arena. The first amateur match was recently held.   To sign up, the arena administration number is everywhere.  

The decision to create a hockey club "Mariupol" in the city was made at a session of the city council in August 2020. In October, the team was assembled and started training. The first coach was the legend of Ukrainian and Soviet hockey - Alexander Seukand. On October 22, the team played the first match in the fifth anniversary season of the UHL Parimatch Championship. Despite the debut, team managed to make it to the playoffs and occupy the sixth place in the standings. Now the current coach is Sergey Viter.
